Once a month, I share the best of what I’ve been reading, watching, and exploring. Enjoy!

Films

Sing Sing (2024). [HBO Max | Amazon Prime] If your faith in humanity is running low, this will refill it. Based on the real-life theater program at Sing Sing Prison, it follows a group of incarcerated men who find meaning, connection, and a bit of freedom through performance. If you watch the movie, don’t skip the credits. They brought me to tears.

A Complete Unknown (2024). [Hulu | Amazon Prime] Timothée Chalamet plays young Bob Dylan in a dreamy portrait of an artist transforming himself. What I especially loved was watching Dylan shift from his folk/acoustic roots to an electric, full-band sound—and the backlash that followed. Proof that the best creative moves are often the most controversial.

Black Bag (2025). [Amazon Prime | Apple TV+] This one won’t win any awards, but it’s the perfect Sunday evening thriller. Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender play married spies caught in a tangle of secrets, lies, and one very awkward dinner party. It’s like Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but with sharper suits and more emotional sabotage.

Shows

Black Mirror Season 7. [Netflix] Still dark. Still clever. Still the kind of show that makes you want to unplug your smart speaker afterward. Each episode stands on its own, so you can jump in anywhere—just maybe not right before bed. Some episodes miss, but the ones that land? You’ll be thinking about them for days.

The Studio. [Apple TV+] A behind-the-scenes comedy set in a Hollywood studio, where Seth Rogen is the newly appointed head executive. Think The Office, but with more celebrity meltdowns, studio backstabbing, and projects so bad you almost want to see them made.

Hacks Season 4. [HBO Max | Amazon Prime] Deborah Vance, a once-iconic Vegas comic, is taking on late-night TV—and dragging her Gen Z writing partner Ava along for the ride. Filled with wit from start to finish, I look forward to every episode.

Music

Lipstick” by The Venice Connection. Funky guitar, smooth synths, and a vibe that makes you want to walk down the street like you’re in your own opening credits.

A new gadget I love

Instax Photo Printer. If your phone is a graveyard of forgotten photos, this little Bluetooth photo printer is your resurrection tool. Snap a photo, hit print, and out comes a Polaroid-style pic you can slap on your fridge, wall, or mirror. It’s fast, fun, and actually makes your memories visible again.
