From time to time, instead of my usual email with one big idea you can read in 3 minutes or less, I share with you the best of what I’m reading, watching, and exploring. Enjoy!

Books

Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera. If you’re craving a thriller that entertains as much as it intrigues, this book should be next on your list. Set against the backdrop of a true crime podcast, the book delivers humor and suspense in equal measure. A page turner from start to finish.

Films

Snack Shack. (Amazon Prime | Apple TV+) A hilarious coming-of-age comedy set in the 1990s about two friends taking over their local pool’s snack shack for the summer. If you enjoyed Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Dazed and Confused, you’ll love this one. Perfect for a light-hearted movie night.

Suncoast. (Hulu) Brace yourself for an emotional rollercoaster with this touching coming-of-age film. Heartfelt and beautifully acted. (Keep a box of Kleenex nearby).

Little Children. (Amazon Prime | Apple TV+) A clever, unsettling look at the dark underbelly of American suburban life, featuring a standout performance by Kate Winslet.

Shows

3 Body Problem. (Netflix) Based on the renowned sci-fi novels, this series is a visual feast that will keep you glued to your screen. The storytelling is as impressive as the stunning cinematography.

Formula 1: Drive to Survive Season 6. (Netflix) I don’t watch Formula 1, but I love this show. It’s a thrilling look at what drives the sport behind the scenes. And it has everything that makes for good watching—drama, conflict, humor, and fall from grace.

Lessons in Chemistry. (Apple TV+) Set in the 1950s, the show follows Elizabeth Zott—a brilliant scientist stirring up chemicals and trouble in a patriarchal world. This series is part comedy, part drama, and completely empowering.

TED Talk

The single most important parenting strategy by Becky Kennedy. Sometimes, you press play on a TED Talk expecting light entertainment over lunch and instead find yourself unexpectedly moved to tears. Dr. Kennedy’s insights on repairing relationships extend well beyond parenting, offering profound strategies for mending the fractures in our everyday interactions. This talk isn’t just highly recommended; it’s a must-watch.

Expensive gadget

Apple Vision Pro. As much as I love giving keynotes, I don’t love being stuck on long flights to get to them. Enter the Apple Vision Pro. This device transforms my seat into a private movie theater, complete with high-def films and a setting so immersive, I forget I’m miles above the ground. It’s my essential travel companion.
